About Wallshield

Wallshield is one of the longest established products and group of companies in the wall coating business. Although research and development started a few years earlier; The Wallshield Group was established in 1982 and has been successfully renovating and protecting properties for over a quarter of a century.

The origins of the product actually go back much further to the dark days of World War Two, when a product was invented to protect Lend-Lease weapons, vehicles and machinery on their journey across the Atlantic. The equipment was often carried on deck and at the mercy of the devastating North Atlantic corrosive salt sea spray. This coating ensured the equipment would arrive in Britain in good condition, ready to go into service.

The Innovators

For years the product remained dormant until it was rediscovered and adapted for the protection of buildings rather than machinery. Wallshield's founder then came across the product - experimented with it and made improvements to the process and methods of application. He then started offering it direct to business's and householders as a means of renovating, decorating and protecting all types of properties.

It was seen as a viable long-term alternative to painting every 2-3 years back then. However with the new process in place the Founder was astounded to find that no one else had even thought of the refinements Wallshield had made. It became a trade secret and even to this day, other's have still not realised the true long term benefits of the techniques discovered in the early 80's that makes Wallshield truly unique.

In one very early advertising campaign, only time was missing to confirm and prove the Wallshield marketing team's prophetic words. "The Wallshield Process is still the only real long-life solution to exterior wall maintenance problems today."

That was back in 1982, which also means Wallshield is well on it's way to out living it's own 20 year guarantee twice over.

Since its early days starting out in London with just a handful of staff, The Wallshield Company has grown into the market leading Wallshield Group. 25 Years on, Wallshield is now in place to service the needs of nearly 8 million 'individually different' homes and commercial properties up and down the country through it's very own marketing network. Expert staff can cover most parts of the UK with Wallshield, literally!

Hence why the wallcoating known as Wallshield, has become a true household name and is in a class of it's own thanks mainly to the experience and dedication of it's first class staff. The loyalty of the Wallshield team has contributed to helping the company keep the Wallshield name alive for nearly three decades.
